PTO Roundup and Announcements for 2/23/17

Dear Parents,

Another week of our class contest is in the books, and Kindergarten continues to hold the lead for the month with only one more week in February to go. This week, the 1st grade brought in the most money with $11.97. The 4th grade came in second place with $5. The 3rd grade rounds out the top three, having brought in $0.01. Kindergarten and 5th grade didn’t bring in anything. However, it’s a tight race, and anyone can win, so make sure to encourage your kids to bring anything they can. The winning class will be announced next Thursday.

We have a number of announcements for you. Don’t forget to attend this Sunday’s Science Fair!! All the kids have worked so hard on their projects, and they’re all so interesting. There will be concessions and science related toys and items for sale. The fair is going on between 1-4 PM.

DON’T FORGET! Purim is just around the corner, and we all have Mishloach Manot and costume themes on the brain. Pick up your delicious Hamantashen by
ordering from Sunflower Bakery through the Silver Spring Learning Center. They’re absolutely scrumptious and raises money for a good cause. Orders are due next by March 6th!

While you’re stuffing your Mishloach Manot with Sunflower Bakery Hamantashen, dazzle your recipients with Purim Cards designed by our LBJA kids. I’ve seen samples of the cards that the kids have come up with, and they are absolutely amazing works of art. No one else will have anything like it, so be the talk of Purim by ordering your cards today. In addition to that, one lucky order will win a $25 gift certificate to Ben Yehuda Pizza! Orders are due by March 3rd, so get your form in ASAP!!

Shabbat Shalom!
