PTO Weekly Roundup

Hi Parents,

With all the major holidays behind us, the PTO’s activities are in full swing. We have started the class contest up this month, and this week was our first accounting. As with last year and as you may have seen in the flyer we sent home recently, every week, we will send out a roundup to let you know how the classes are doing. There is also a poster board next to Helen’s office where you and your children can see what their progress is. Each month’s winner will get an ice cream party. For every $100 increment raised, that class will get prizes. At the end of the year, the winning class will get an ice cream and pizza party while every class will get ice cream. There are only winners here. And just as a reminder, last year, the classes, collectively, raised over $1,000, which was about half of all the money the PTO raised all year! We think they can do even better this year!

We’re off to a good start this week, with the kids having raised $10.26. The class that donated the most was the 4th grade, with a total of $6.15. Kindergarten came in 2nd place with a total of $2.25. Rounding out the top 3 was the 1st grade, with $1.52. The 3rd grade raised $0.28, and the 2nd grade raised $0.06. The 5th/6th grade raised $0.

We understand it’s just starting up and that things will pick up, but please help your children help us raise money by donating whatever they can. Every penny truly counts. Again, as a remainder, thanks to your children’s efforts last year, we were able to buy the school an amazing electric piano and a sound system that is making every performance that much better.

In other PTO news, please make sure to mark your calendar for our 6th Annual Chanukah Boutique, which is December 3rd, between 12-4 p.m. We will once again have great vendors, concessions, and entertainment.  It’s a great way to support our local community vendors and get your Chanukah gift shopping done. We can’t wait to see you there!

Have a Shabbat Shalom!!
