Weekly Roundup

Dear Parents,

What a week for the school and the PTO! It started out on Sunday with the 5th Annual Chanukah Boutique. We had a tremendous turnout, with around 3-400 people attending. It was packed the whole 4 hours of the event. The vendors were outstanding. The entertainment and food was enjoyed by all. Barely a crumb was left. We want to once again thank the parents who volunteered. We could not have done it without you. You helped us run the event so smoothly. We look forward to successful events in the future, so be on the lookout for our next one. The PTO does not rest.

If you were at last night’s Chanukah show, you saw your, your children’s, and the PTO’s hard work in action. We donated $400 to the school, which allowed the school to have the necessary funds to purchase a brand new, professional digital piano. The sound that came out of it was amazing and true, and it was able to be moved onto the stage for all to see the performance with ease. We are so happy to have been able to help with something so necessary and look forward to all the wonderful performances in the future.

The PTO also collected and gave the teachers some wonderful gift cards for Chanukah in appreciation for all the hard work that they do.

Finally, the class contest for the month of December has come to an end. We are cutting it early because of the winter break. The kids did an amazing job this week. We’re so happy to see the kids reinvigorated. It was another close month between the grades, but the 3rd grade has once again won the month raising a total of $11.75. The 4th and 5th grade came in second place with a total of $7.96. It was great to see them participating with such vigor, and we hope they continue to set an example for the rest of the grades. The 1st grade rounds out the top three with a total of $4.36. 2nd grade raised a total of $1.93, and Kindergarten a total of $0.52. The ice cream party will be the first Friday after the holiday break.

Next month will be a full four weeks, so we can’t wait to see how far they can go in 2017. To date, the classes have raised $201.98. In short, they paid for half of the PTO’s contribution for the digital piano that is now being enjoyed by all. What an awesome accomplishment!

Here’s wishing everyone a Shabbat Shalom, Chag Chanukah Sameach, Happy Holidays, and a great winter break. See you in 2017!!!
